A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A
RESERVE FUND FOR A BUILDING EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT FUND AND
AUTHORIZING TRANSFERS OF FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE
EXPANSION FUND UPON EXCESS FUNDS BEING AVAILABLE; THAT THE CITY
OF MERIDIAN HEREBY AUTHORIZES THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO THE
BUILDING EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT FUND WHEN SUCH FUNDS BECOME
AVAILABLE AT THE END OF ANY FISCAL YEAR FROM AND AFTER THE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, The City is experiencing growth requiring and
demanding additional services from the City and there are proposed
plans to increase the functions and services of the City, all of
which will require additional space and improvements;
WHEREAS, the City has authority to establ ish reserves and
funds and to budget for necessary improvements and expenses;
WHEREAS, it is logical and important to have a fund created
prior to having funds transferred;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of MERIDIAN, IDAHO:
That there is hereby authorized and created
a reserve fund for building expansion and
other improvements, which fund shall be known
as IlBuilding Expansion and Improvement
Reserve Fundll, and said fund shall be in
existence and capable of receiving funds and
transfers from the general fund; and
That there is hereby authorized the transfer
of funds to the Building Expansion and
Improvement Reserve Fund from the General
Fund, when and as excess funds become
available at the end of any fiscal year.
