BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BORTON, CAVENER,HOAGLUN,
OVERTON, PERREAULT, STRADER
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING NEW FEES OF THE MERIDIAN PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT; AUTHORIZING THE MERIDIAN PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
TO COLLECT SUCH FEES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, following publication of notice in the Idaho Press on August 4, 2023 and
August 11, 2023, according to the requirements of Idaho Code section 63-1311A, on August 15,
2023, the City Council of the City of Meridian held a hearing on the adoption of proposed new
fees of the Meridian Public Works Department, as set forth herein; and
WHEREAS, following such hearing, the City Council,by formal motion, did approve
said proposed new fees of the Meridian Public Works Department;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN,IDAHO:
Section 1. That the following fees are hereby adopted:
Fee description Fee amount
Water rate—base (administrative fee) $5.77
Water rate—use charge (per 1,000 gallons) $2.00
Sewer rate—base (administrative fee) $9.08
Sewer rate—use charge (per 1,000 gallons) $5.82
Section 2. That the Meridian Public Works Department is hereby authorized to
implement and carry out the collection of said fees.
Section 3. That, as of October 1, 2023,the fees set forth herein will supersede all
previous fees previously adopted for such services.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 15th day of August,
2023.

Idaho, regarding proposed fee increases as set forth below. Further information is available at

Any and all interested persons shall be heard at the public hearing.Written testimony is welcome;
written materials should be submitted to the City Clerk.All testimony and materials presented
