CC - Applicant Request to Withdraw Application 2023-07-07July 3, 2023 Sonia Allen, Associate Planner Planning Department City of Meridian 33 East Broadway Avenue, Suite 102 Meridian, ID 83642 RE: Notice to Withdraw Application Development Agreement Modification and Conditional Use Permit Costco Wholesale Delivery Hours Modification 3403 West Chinden Boulevard, Meridian, Idaho 83646 City Pile No. CUP MDA H-2003-0007 Dear Sonia: With this letter, we formally withdraw our application for a Development Agreement Modification and Conditional Use Permit to modify the delivery hours at our building on West Chinden Boulevard. Although we continue to believe that our proposal meets the spirit and intent of the original approval, the feedback we received during the review process informed our decision to withdraw the application. Notwithstanding, we are committed to being a good neighbor and will voluntarily enact the following operational improvements at the site: • No trucks will be allowed to travel behind the Costco store except emergency vehicles and public service vehicles. ■ Wayfinding signs will be installed to guide trucks to the approved delivery route. • Education and Reinforcement of required truck routes will be provided to the drivers. • Costco will work with City Staff to replace the small "no trucks" sign at North Ten Mile Road and West Lost Rapids Drive with a larger more conspicuous sign. We trust that these actions will be beneficial to the community, and we will always keep the lines of communication open with our neighbors.
