Dear Staff,
The following is an explanation of our narrative for the proposed apartment project.
As part of the original annexation and preliminary plat process,a portion of the site was envisioned for a
multi-family use. This project is the specific proposal for that development.
We propose to develop(5)two-story apartment buildings containing a total of 19 units. Previous
approvals were obtained for up to 28 units,but during design we have found that this location would be
better served with larger units. This decision has led to a reduced number of total units due to the
increased square footage of the units. We feel that this is more fitting with the current surroundings and
with the proposed future larger multi-family project do our west.
The proposed two-story buildings will be very similar to the nearby single-family residences in height and
scale. We are also proposing materials and overall building forms consistent with the existing nearby
homes. This small multi-family development will provide a mix of living arrangements that will
complement the nearby communities. As envisioned with the annexation,all required amenities and open
space are provided as part of the adjacent single-family development.
