0223-05-23 Valley Regional Transit i-) valleyregionaltransit To: City of Meridian Development Services ATTN: Stacy Hersh 33 E Broadway Ave. Meridian, Idaho 83642 RE: Ten Mile Costa Vida CUP H-2023-0018 May 19, 2023 Dear Ms. Hersh, Valley Regional Transit has reviewed the request for CUP for Costa Vida. VRT currently operates the Route 40 Nampa- Meridian Express and route 30-Pine on S Ten Mile Road next to the proposed development. Given this area will continue to be developed as commercial space, a bus stop would be beneficial to riders and businesses. As a result, VRT suggests the following: 1. A condition be included in the CUP, that requires a Standard bus stop (size small) with a concrete pad 9'x10' be poured between the sidewalk and curb on S Ten Mile Road on or near the site location prior to issuance of certificate of occupancy. The purpose of the pad is to provide an ADA compliant boarding/alighting area. The concrete pad will allow VRT to schedule a stop there as part of current and future route planning and move amenities such as signage and a bench onsite in accordance with the Bus Stop Typology Kit of Parts(page 21). A transit review application needs to be completed and returned to Valley Regional Transit at least 45 days prior to the estimated construction date for review and approval. A completed application will provide VRT the applicants contact information, construction schedule and proposed pad location. There is no fee for the application at this time. The application is found at the following link: Microsoft Word - Bus Stop Design Review Application.docx(valleyregionaltransit.org) Please contact me if you have questions or desire more information.
