Franklin Rd.,Meridian,ID 83642-0000 Dear Planning Staff, The owner of parcel number S1216120735 is proposing to annex the property into the City of Meridian and rezone the 14.5 acre parcel from RUT to I-L(Light Industrial).The purpose of this rezone request is to construct a new business center that will include an industrial warehouse and self-storage facility.The project will consist of ten buildings totaling 275,964 SF.Other site improvements include landscaping and a right-of-way dedication along the south boundary for a future collector street. The proposed project is within the City of Meridian's Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan.The future land use map designates this as Mixed Employment. The Light Industrial zone would be compatible with this designation, and the surrounding uses.The large parcel to the South was recently annexed and rezoned to Light Industrial. Due to the close proximity to 1-84,the Ten Mile and future Hwy 16 interchange, Light Industrial would be an appropriate zone for this parcel.
