Land Use The Future Land Use Map for the Meridian Area of City Impact, as adopted by Ada County, designates the site as Mixed-Use Commercial, which is primarily intended for a variety of community-serving issues and residential uses. However, the City of Meridian's Future Land Use Map designates the site as General Industrial, which allows a range of uses that support industrial and commercial uses, such as warehouses, storage units, light manufacturing, flex, and incidental retail and office uses. Therefore, the proposed development for self-storage condos with the proposed zone of I-L is compatible with the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County. Comprehensive Plan Goals and Policies The proposal for self-storage condos is compatible with the following goals of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan which encourages a variety of uses, including industrial and commercial uses within the Meridian Area of City Impact. Goal 3.06.00: Ensure a variety and balance of land uses to support the Meridian Area of City Impact. Goal 3.06.01 B:Monitor the amount and mix of industrial, commercial, and office areas needed to meet the employment needs of the City. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
