Dear Mayor Simison, City of Meridian City Council, and the City of Meridian Planning and zoning
commissioners,
As a homeowner at Cadence at Bainbridge 55+, adjacent (West) of the Costco on Chinden Blvd
and Ten Mile roads in Meridian Idaho, I believe the submission of Costco Developments
H-2023-0007 has an inadequate representation of current home owners and future owners.
Cadence at Bainbridge Phase 2 is still in the process of being built. These homes will be directly
impacted if Costco modifies the existing Conditional Use Permit. Let us leave the policy as it
stands. You are not hearing voices because there are no voices to be heard yet. Approximately
16 homes are occupied out of the 61 that will eventually complete Phase 2 of the Cadence
Subdivision.
Also, suggesting residents keep their windows closed is not a viable solution. The same amount
of noise one hears at 3:00 p.m. amplifies much differently at 3:00 a.m. when the city is quiet
and hopefully asleep.
As you examine the documents, letters, and sound test studies before you, please take this
point of view into consideration as you make your decision.
