First the easement which crosses our property, has never been addressed with us the property owners of the easement, I would think that should have happen early on in this process and at this time still hasn’t been addressed. The planning notes state the easement will cease to exist although the fire dept. has it in their proposal to continue to use the easement. To address the fire departments wish to use our property for access, the access doesn’t meet their own requirements, plus they cannot block our property without some agreement from us, also they cannot interfere with our use of our property, finally under state law the easement cannot intersect with any other road. Again these issues and others should have been resolve early in this process, not at this time. Another issue I have is why is the current house to remain on the property? It doesn’t fit with the surrounding neighborhood, is the pool considered an out building? Is this house to remain residential or is going to be used for some other purpose? The next issue is the pathway on the East side of this development, the pathway should be fenced off with no outlet, it’s a tragedy waiting to happen. The use of the bridge for pedestrian traffic has no merit, the property on the other side is all privately owned which means the City of Meridian is condoning trespassing. The next problem is the height of the houses along the east side of this property, first they don’t fit with the rest of the neighborhood, they will be an eyesore sticking out above the rest of the community, and finally they’re intruding on our privacy, not to mention the light problem that is going to impact our property. Another Problem is the pressurized irrigation has to cross our property, again needs to be resolved, I recommend that the issues and other be resolve prior annexation. Sent from Mail for Windows 1
