Dear Sirs,
My husband and I would like to formally comment on the request for proposed rental homes on Eagle
Road just north of Victory.
We live directly across from the proposed project and are currently witnessing a horrific OVER
ABUNDANCE of traffic due to road projects currently taking place. We realize this is TEMPORARY;
however, putting the amount of proposed homes in this area with their automobiles on a PERMANENT
basis is,we feel, doing extreme harm to the Victory/Eagle intersection, as well as traffic going both
north and south on Eagle Road. This doesn't even begin to address the traffic coming from south of
Victory on Eagle Road trying to get to the interstate, hospital, etc.
We have witnessed this first hand during all of the current road improvements(round about on Victory
and Locust Grove, widening of Locust Grove between Overland and Amity,Victory between Eagle and
Cloverdale closing to install underground amenities for rental homes going in on Victory/Cloverdale, etc.
It has been a nightmare of traffic, and would only be PERMANENTLY worse if this proposal were
implemented.
There is a senior living center right next to where this proposal is, and we think an entrance to this
proposal would go right thru the senior living center. Whether it does or not, this type of rental area
next to a senior living center just doesn't seem right. These seniors have moved there for peace and
quiet. We doubt they will find it if this proposal goes thru.
We respectfully ask you to reconsider this proposed project. We feel doctors offices, or professional
offices, like which are found a bit further north on either side of Eagle Road would be a much better use
of this land. At least the senior living center would have some peace and quiet at night!
We would be more than happy and willing to comment on this at a public hearing. We love all of the
improvements the city is making with our roads! We lived in England for 5 years and grew to love round
abouts. We hear people complaining about them all the time. If they would just learn to signal to show
intent on which of the round about outlets they will be exiting onto, things would go a lot smoother!
Thank you for your constant care and upgrading of our city! Meridian, Idaho is a wonderful place to live
and call home. You are to be commended on your great efforts to keep Meridian a "go to" place!
Sincerely,
Verl &Shauna Wadley
