The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding a proposed annexation and rezone to
C-C (Community Commercial) of 2.34-acres located at 2975 E Franklin Road.
Ada County is supportive of the proposed annexation as it is compatible with Goal 2.2 of the
Ada County Comprehensive Plan, which encourages urban development be directed to Areas
of City Impact where investments in urban services have already been made.
The Future Land Use Map of the City of Meridian as adopted by Ada County designates the
site as Commercial, which is intended to provide a full range of commercial uses to serve area
residents and visitors. Desired uses may include retail, restaurants, personal and professional
services, and office uses, as well as appropriate public and quasi-public uses. As the proposed
future development is for two commercial building pads, the proposed zone of C-C is
compatible with the Future Land Use Map of the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by
Ada County and is therefore, compatible with the Comprehensive Plan.
