Greetings,
Idaho Transportation Department ( ITD ) appreciates this opportunity to provide comments regarding the
annexation/zoning of 2975 E Franklin Road , Meridian , Idaho . The application is to annex into the City of Meridian with
a C- C ( Community Business ) zoning district on 2 . 53 acres .
1 . This project does not abut the State Highway system . The subject site is located 600 feet west of State Highway
55 ( SH -55 ) .
2 . No direct access to the State Highway system has been requested with this application .
3 . The site as it develops to commercial use should submit traffic generation numbers . ITD needs more
information on the trip generations to determine what mitigations, if any, the applicant may be required to
construct on the State Highway system . If the new development generates 100 or more new trips in the peak
hour or 1, 000 new trips in a day, a Traffic Impact Study (TIS ) will be required . Mitigations identified by the
Traffic Impact Study shall be the responsibility of the applicant to install .
ITD reserves the right to make further comments upon review of the change of land use and traffic generation
numbers or other documents that are submitted .
