Hi There, I’m unable to make the public meeting tonight but would like to convey a few concerns/thoughts; I’m hoping you can help direct these to the appropriate party(ies)?  The Public Hearing Notice was seriously lacking – If this is the minimum standard – which may have been feasible years ago, when we had so few projects going on – the standard needs raised. If this is below the minimum standards, then it needs addressed with Sagarra and a second hearing called. o There was no way to ascertain information (i.e., review the plans, application, etc.) in preparation of the meeting. I realize it’s not feasible to send this information, but the web addresses and contact information of the requester or direct City contact (at minimum) should absolutely be included. This notification obnoxiously shifts the burden of proof and preparation from the requester to the effected property owners. ☹ It was only after HOURS of searching through the City website I was able to find what \[I think\] might be the project being discussed. o Timing was insufficient – the date on the letter reads 10/27/2022. My neighbors and I received it recently. Sagarra putting a date on a letter than waiting to mail, giving property owners only a few days’ notice, is not OK.  For the project as a whole: Safety is a primary concern for us. What’s developed right now is extremely unsafe. (I’m not talking about the construction going on being unsafe, that’s understandable.) o There are literally NO crosswalks, the ramps are there, but no paint or yield signs/flags. Also, judging just off the ramps that are there now, there simply are not enough; which is particularly dangerous on a curvy, tree filled street. o Lack of crosswalks is only compounded by the fact that there are so few stop signs. Cars zip through there (particularly Rocky students on lunch), with no bumps or stops, curves become an extra bonus to speeders. People zip into Paramount from the dogleg like they stole something. Really appreciate your help; don’t hesitate to reach-out if anything above doesn’t make sense or if you feel I’ve overlooked something. Julia Duty 208-781-2827 1
