Pastor Connelly, Thank you for your letter regarding H-2022-0050. Any comments that we may have on active applications before the city must be on the public record, so there will not be any individual responses from the mayor or councilmembers at this time. I will send your letter to the city clerk for inclusion into the hearing packet for Tuesday evening. We appreciate your involvement and comments on this issue. External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments. Dear Mayor and City Council Members, My best friend Keith Harrington and I started Rockharbor Church in Merdian in 2012. In 2016 we felt led to create a similar church in South Meridian called Stonehill Church. We currently meet at Mountain View High School, and our weekly attendance is about 1000 adults and kids every week, and we are growing!  We like to say, “we are not just a church in the valley but a church for the valley.” Earlier this month 300 people from our church spent over 800 hours serving at locations all around Meridian including Meridian Elementary and the Boys and Girls Club. In addition to this our goal is to have a serving outreach to our community monthly as we continue to try and make a positive impact in this great city! We currently have about 14 acres of land between Meridian and Linder roads just west of the radio towers. We cannot wait to build our campus in that location! We have already begun work with a talented group of architects to design a campus that the families of Meridian will love. We are creating a campus to be something for the community of Meridian. Some of the ways we want it to be for Meridian are.... -A larger facility the community could utilize for different events. -A place of hope and light where people will be loved and cared for on a weekly basis. 1 -A possible daycare facility in the future to service this area. -We are also open to suggestions and feedback for what could help the city. We cannot wait to break ground! However, we are waiting on sewer lines to extend to our land. City engineers Warren Stuart and Laurelei McVey have told us we must access the sewer system being built out from the East on Meridian Road. Currently, the access to this sewer is on land owned by Jim Piercy. We have asked Mr. Piercy for an easement so we can build the sewer system to our property, but he would prefer not to do that while he is trying to sell his property.. Instead, we will need to wait for him to sell his property to a developer. We hope whoever purchases his land will be amenable to working with us so we can get the sewer built as soon as possible even if that means we front some/all the cost. I am writing to you today on behalf of our growing congregation to ask that his development, Allure Subdivision (H-2022-0050) by Schultz Development, LLC., be approved at this month's city council meeting. Any delays to his project will also impact our project. As you can imagine, our church is anxious to get started. We believe Stonehill will be a tremendous resource for Meridian for decades!  I appreciate your consideration!  Doug Connelly Lead Pastor -Stonehill Church doug@stonehill.chuch   208.859.6708 2
