Thank you. Please note that I am copying Meridian Nature Reserve, and by this email giving a representative of that
organization my proxy to present these comments at the in-person meeting on October 20 at 6 PM. I’m giving this proxy
because I cannot attend either in person or virtually but would like these comments to be read into the record at the
open hearing if appropriate. Thank you.

Dear Meridian City Planning and Zoning Commission:
I write to oppose the proposal to develop the property at the southwest corner of Meridian Road and Victory Road.
My name is Brad Frazer. My wife and I live at 2881 S. Appia Place in Meridian, just north of the proposed new
development. We have lived there since 2007.
The apparently unrestrained growth Meridian has allowed around our property has dramatically and adversely affected
our quality of life. It began with the growth along Stoddard Road, then was compounded by the thousands of
apartments built between us and Ten Mile Road on Overland. This new development, if allowed, will compound and
exacerbate the debilitating problems we experience each day due to this growth.
2
For example:
If I ever have to leave my house between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m., I have to plan to double or triple my drive times
due traffic northbound on Meridian, eastbound on Overland and eastbound on Victory. This is compounded by
the thousands of new cars Kuna developments have poured onto Meridian Road northbound.
Services in this areas are overwhelmed, Every store, restaurant and other service provider is clogged,
backlogged and overwhelmed with demand from these thousands of new residents. I invite you to try to buy
something at the Walmart on Stoddard and Overland.
We have seen, and our Strada Bellissima HOA has recorded, dramatic increases in crime, including vandalism,
car break-ins, home incursions, and theft.
This is not a case of NIMBY. This is a case of MBYIF--My Back Yard Is Full.
But more importantly than the lack of room, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not destroy this wonderful natural open space.
We need open spaces to mitigate the crowded conditions Meridian has allowed to propagate for the past ten years.
Thank you for your "no" vote.
I may be reached by phone on 208-286-8897 if needed.
Best,
Brad Frazer
