To Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission:
I am writing to oppose Klein Huis Development AZ, CUP H-2022-0051.
This development:
- is not in Meridian’s priority growth area ( i.e. east of Meridian Road)
- is asking for special conditions to use the land for multi-family residences.
- is not compatible with the single family residences in the area.
- has no pedestrian or vehicular connectivity to surrounding communities as required.
- is asking that a private road feed onto an arterial road close to a major intersection ; against Meridian’s code: UDC 11-
3F-4
- has no transition density or buffers to abutting single family residences as required.
This development clearly does not meet Meridian’s Comprehensive Goals and Policies in multiple ways - connectivity,
compatibility and transitional density to name a few.
