Why I Should Oppose this
Significant Increase in Traffic and Safety Issues
• Congestion at/near Victory and Meridian Roads
• Increased “Cut Through” Traffic In nearby neighborhoods
Developer Plans to build Multi-Family Rentals on land designated for Single Family Homes
• Plan is Incompatible with City’s Future Land Use Map (FLUM)
No Connectivity to adjoining Neighborhoods (required by City of Meridian)
Corporate Owned Rental Units (Ball Ventures)
• Renters are usually transitory and have less ties to the community
Rental Units have been exploding in this area (2.5-mile radius from planned development)
• 11 complexes with over 3200 units, most of these developed since 2015
Impacts School Capacity
• In 2020 West Ada School District reported schools were already at or above capacity
Destroys a beautiful natural open space that has existed for decades and is home to over 40 bird species
