22-2344 City Fees updating Water and Wastewater Fees CITY OF MERIDIAN RESOLUTION NO. 22-2344 BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BERNT, BORTON, CAVENER, HOAGLUN, PERREAULT, STRADER A RESOLUTION UPDATING WATER AND WASTEWATER ASSESSMENT FEES; AUTHORIZING THE MERIDIAN PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO COLLECT SUCH FEES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, according to the requirements of Idaho Code section 63-1311A, following publication of notice in the Idaho Press on September 23,2022 and September 30,2022,the City Council of the City of Meridian held a hearing on the adoption of proposed decreasing and increasing fees of the Meridian Public Works Department, as set forth below, on October 4, 2022; and WHEREAS, following such hearing, the City Council, by formal motion, did approve said proposed new fees of the Meridian Public Works Department; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO: Section 1. That the following fees shall be updated as follows, and added to the Citywide Fee Schedule: Fee Description Current Fee Updated Fee Water Assessment Fee Fee per Equivalent Residential Unit $1973 $1514 (ERU) to connect to City of Meridian Water Service. Residential/Multifamily/Commercial Wastewater Assessment Fee per Equivalent Residential Unit $3884 $5411 Fee (ERU) to connect to City of Meridian Wastewater Service. Residential/Multifamily/Commercial Section 2. That the Meridian Public Works Department is hereby authorized to implement and carry out the collection of said updated fees. Section 3. That these updated fees shall be effective as of November 1, 2022, and shall supersede all fees previously adopted for such services.
