CITY OF MERIDIAN.
Handy Wholesale and trucking is wanting to build a 20,160 square foot addition on their existing
warehouse on lot 17 block 2 of Meridian business park. Part of the building will be located on the
railroad property and will also cross the property on lot 17 where the 20' utility easement is located.
Handy needs this building to bump up to the spur rail line to unload and load products directly into the

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11 - 5A-5D, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a UDC text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten ( 10) days prior to the hearing .
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted . Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued .
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3 ) days after the end of the public hearing for
which the sign(s) had been posted .
I am aware of the above requirements and will comply with the posting requirements as stated in
UDC 11 -5A-5 .

Dear Mr . Lawson ,
This is in response to the Relinquishment Application submitted to Idaho Power Company on
January 10, 2017 , regarding the possible relinquishment of a certain area of platted utility
easement located along the north boundary of Lot Block 2 , Meridian Business Park Subdivision,
as described on Exhibit A (the "Utility Easement Area") .
Idaho Power ' s review of the relinquishment request indicated that there are no facilities within
the Utility Easement Area. As such, Idaho Power agrees to relinquish what easement rights are
found within the Utility Easement Area.
Thank you once again for providing Idaho Power Company the opportunity to review and
comment upon the subject petition for relinquishment.

the easement shown on the attached plat was likely to protect any "private" irrigation system that might have been there
or to leave the opportunity to route a system in the future . However, Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District ( NMID ) dose not
claim or hold any facility or easement in the area you have highlighted . Our Hunter lateral is well to the west of this area
and the Five Mile Drain lies well to the east , these facilities should not be impacted by your project . I ' m not sure what
Meridian is wanting from you in response but if a formal letter requested from NMID , I will ask the same ( a letter asking
the question ) .

to vacate the utility easement that is located on the north side of the property next to railway property .

I have included the subdivision plan with the easement marked on the lot that the Warehouse building will be placed
on . The Railroad company has given the Handy permission to have part of the building on their property .
