Subject: RE: Question about private GI easement
Hi Stephanie,
Sorry for the late response. I had reviewed the construction drawings for this development. It appears there is a 12-inch
irrigation pipe constructed within the easement area. Since this is graphically depicted on the face of the plat and is not
referenced by an instrument in a plat note, you will have to go through the formal vacation process with the City. Since
this is a private easement you won't need to provide the additional relinquishment letters from the other utility
providers. Go the portal and schedule a pre -application meeting when you are ready to discuss the vacation process
with us.

Hey Bill,
We're working on a property boundary adjustment for a new project and there is a private gravity irrigation easement
that crosses where our client would like to place a building. The property is located at the SE corner of Franklin and Ten
Mile (in TM Creek No 2). The easement is shown on the plat, so we'll need to vacate and relocate a portion of it in order
for them to build. Could you remind me, or point me in the direction to find the info, on how vacating/relocating
easements works in Meridian? I vaguely remember that it'll need to go before Council, but can't remember the process.
Any thoughts on whether a private GI easement will be different than other utilities?
