BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BERNT, BORTON, CAVENER,
HOAGLUN, PERREAULT, STRADER
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN APPOINTING BRANDON SIMPSON TO SEAT 4 AND MIKE MEDELLIN TO
SEAT 5 OF THE MERIDIAN PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code 2-1-1 establishes the Meridian Parks and Recreation
Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS, Seats 4 and 5 of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission are currently
vacant; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the appointment of Brandon Simpson to Seat 4 and Mike
Medellin to Seat 5 of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission as recommended by the Mayor
and Council as described herein;
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, effective immediately, Brandon Simpson be appointed to Seat 4 and Mike
Medellin be appointed to Seat 5 of the Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission,which terms shall
run through October 31, 2023.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption
and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 8th day of February,
2022.
