Good Afternoon Sonya,
Thanks for the staff report. We have reviewed and are generally in agreement with staff’s analysis and recommended
conditions of approval with the exception of the two following recommended changes to the conceptual development
plan:
1. Remove 10 parking spaces on the west boundary of the site adjacent to the private north-south drive aisle
2. Replace parking areas between Buildings A & B and C & D with plazas (public/quasi-public open space)
We believe modifying the conceptual development plan per the above recommended conditions will limit the flexibility
of the development for future users, could create insufficient parking for future tenants and patrons and will potentially
place a burden on future tenants/property owners. We are excited to bring this project and several future commercial
tenants to the city of Meridian and want to ensure the site provides adequate parking and facilities for users to alleviate
conflict with existing and future adjacent development.
We look forward to discussing the project with you and the Commission on Thursday. I’ll send over a presentation to be
included in the record as well.
Thanks!
Stephanie Hopkins
