Just in case you need any proof of the birds I have attached a picture of the owl living there.

Treg and Luke,
I am emailing both of you because I know you two the best on the City Council. I am
writing in opposition to the approval of the Friendship Subdivision and how it stands
right now. I know that something needs to be approved on this site but I don’t feel like
the proposed developer has accounted for everything. The biggest mistake in my mind
is that he plans to tear out the beautiful landscaping that currently exists with the home
that is there. This landscaping is home to owls, hawks, cranes, geese, ducks, etc. It
would be a shame to see this go and I think it would fit perfectly in whatever happens
on this site. Secondly, I am more in favor of R4 zoning in the area. When I developed
Birkdale Estates right next door we did R2. I would love to see R2 but also feel that R4
would make sense. This would be a great transition and would keep all the neighbors
happy in the area. I know how difficult in-fill projects are and particularly this site but I
also know that there needs to be more thought in to this particular site. Meridian is
running out of room with all the development going on and we need to make sure we
are doing what is right for the long term. Tearing out landscaping that has existed for
several years is not the right thing to do in my opinion (I have attached pictures for you
to reference).
Please consider this when you are working on this development tomorrow night. I wish I
could make it but I am coaching flag football and need to be there tomorrow night.
Thanks to both of you for your service! You know how much I appreciate all you do for
our community here in Meridian.
Thanks again.
