I did check and the application is yet to be submitted to the City. As I have not seen or heard of the proposed development so I am unaware of what they may propose, and once we do receive an application myself and City Council are prohibited from discussing the item except on the public record, I encourage you to be involved with our Community Development department staff ( I have copied our Planning Supervisor, Bill Parsons), the developer and active in the process. I have copied the City Clerk and if this becomes an active application your email and the response can be included in the public record if you would like. Respectfully, Mayor Robert Simison City of Meridian All e-mail messages sent to or received by City of Meridian e-mail accounts are subject to the Idaho law, in regards to both release and retention, and may be released upon request, unless exempt from disclosure by law. -----Original Message----- From: Doug Sayers <sayersdm@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, March 25, 2022 10:01 PM To: Robert Simison <rsimison@meridiancity.org> Subject: City Development Issue External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments. Mayor Simison- 1 Respectfully request a comprehensive city review of the planned development located behind Meridian Fire Station #3 and abutting Heritage Grove at E. Prairiefire. Specifically, request the city review density, ingress/egress, type of houses being built, and the ability of infrastructure to support the current proposed development. We purchased our house in Heritage Grove as a 55+ development, and were told any extension of E. Prairiefire would be an emergency exit only. Similarly, we were told N. Heritage View would also be an emergency exit. We have seen traffic grow significantly-- including those who ignore stop signs and posted speed limits--as area residents seek a shortcut to access Ustick and Locust Grove using our development as a speedy way to avoid main surface street traffic. Many of us in Heritage Grove do not support the Hubble Homes plan and request its denial. In the interim, request the city look seriously at unchecked/rampant growth and the affect that has on current residents.
