Bill and Caleb,
I under that Heron Village Expansion application will go before City Council tonight. The Meridian Fire Department has
contacted ACHD’s Traffic Services staff with concerns regarding on-street parking on Blue Heron Lane. The available on-
street parking supplements on-site parking for the existing apartments on Blue Heron Lane creating issues for
emergency services. I am assuming that the Fire Department has also brought these issues to your attention and that
1
adequate on-site parking will be required. As the lack of available on-site parking should not be an issue that ACHD is
tasked with solving.
Other areas that the Meridian Fire Department has identified as having on-street parking issues are listed in the email
below.

Subject: RE: City Parking Requirement Presentation
Here are a few areas that have recently become issues in the City of Meridian:
E. Blue Heron Lane E/O N. Meridian Road
Cul-de-sacs in the Settlement Bridge subdivision (on the SE corner of McMillan & Locust Grove)
W Pine Avenue between NW 10th and NW 11th, were a new apartment complex is
W Archerfield St and W Dyver Avenue
Some requests have come directly from Meridian Fire, others from concerned residents. I can provide more details and
go back further into the database for additional examples. Just let me know.
Thanks,
Colby
