BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BERNT, BORTON, CAVENER,
HOAGLUN, PERREAULT, STRADER
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN
APPROVING CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S APPOINTMENTS OF CITY COUNCIL
MEMBERS TO SERVE AS DEPARTMENT LIAISONS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS,pursuant to Meridian City Code section 1-7-6(A), the president of the City
Council is to appoint a city council member to serve as liaison between Meridian City Council and
each of the City departments, and at the City Council meeting on January 4, 2022, City Council
President Brad Hoaglun did make such appointments;
WHEREAS,by this resolution, the City Council of the City of Meridian seeks to effectuate
and memorialize these appointments;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY,IDAHO:
Section 1. That the City Council members appointed by City Council President Hoaglun to
serve as liaisons to the respective departments, as follows, shall fulfill the duties of such function as
enumerated in Meridian City Code section 1-7-6(B):
Treg Bernt: Police Department
Joe Borton: Fire Department
Luke Cavener: Parks &Recreation Department
Brad Hoaglun: Finance Department
Human Resources Department
Information Technology Department
Legal Department
Jessica Perreault: Public Works Department
Liz Strader: Community Development Department
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption
and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 18th day of January, 2022.
