Eagle Rd I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The applicant, Dakota Gullickson of ALC Architecture, requests Administrative Design Review (DES) approval for a façade change to the front of the Arby’s Restaurant at 1270 N. Eagle Rd. The façade change includes a change in the color scheme, replacement of canopies with a canopy band, removing the windows from a pitched element at the front and filling it in with stamped EIFS, and painting a red strip along both sides of the building. Included is a picture of the existing store, the elevations of the proposed façade, and a façade of a similar store demonstrating the color scheme proposed (features vary slightly). After staff comments on the initial submittal, the applicant submitted revised elevations that carry the canopy band further along the building and add brown EIFS to break up the wall plane along the northern elevation. II. DECISION The applicant's request for administrative design review is approved with the conditions listed in this report. Note: This is not a building permit. If you do need a building permit, you must complete that process before you commence the use or construction. CERTIFICATE OF ZONING COMPLIANCE REPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT Page 2 Site Specific Conditions of Approval 1. No signs are approved with this application. Prior to installing any signs on the property, the applicant shall submit a sign permit application consistent with the standards in UDC Chapter 3 Article D and receive approval for such signs. 2. The elevations submitted by the Applicant dated September 30, 2020 is approved by the City of Meridian Planning Division as shown in Exhibit A. 3. No changes to landscaping are proposed or approved. 4. The applicant shall pay any applicable impact fees. Standard Conditions of Approval 1. The approval of this design review does not release the applicant from any previous requirements of the other permits issued for the site. 2. The applicant has a continuing obligation to comply with the outdoor lighting provisions as set forth in UDC 11-3A-11. CITY COUNCIL REVIEW The applicant or a party of record may request City Council review of a decision of the Director. All requests for review shall be filed in writing with the Planning Division on or before October 15, 2020, within fifteen (15) days after the written decision is issued, and contain the information listed in UDC 11-5A-6B. If City Council review of the decision is not requested, the action of the Director represents a final decision on a land use application. You have the right to request a regulatory taking analysis under Idaho Code 67-8003.
