Topgolf Architectural Standards Compliance
Topgolf is a premier state of the art sports entertainment venue consisting of a technologically advanced
multi-level golf driving range, a full-service restaurant and bar, and entertainment complex. The venue
features a two-level building housing the restaurant, bar, and entertainment space including two climate-
controlled levels of golf ball hitting bays, and an outfield with electronic targets for an inclusive, high-tech
golf game that everyone of all ages and skill levels can enjoy.
As a company, Topgolf takes pride in the design and architecture of all of their developments. All of the
prototype buildings have been created to be architecturally significant and engaging no matter the
market, but at the same time remain complimentary to their neighbors. For the latest location in Meridian,
Topgolf conforms to local Architectural Standards and the UDC:
Architectural Character
1. Cohesive Design: Within the Eagle View Landing, Topgolf has a multitude of neighbors – from
retail and restaurant, to corporate office buildings, to residential. As such, the Topgolf building
was designed with masses of multiple scales accentuated by varying colors and materials across
all of its facades. The building is intentionally cohesive in itself and within its environment.
2. Building Scale: The Topgolf in Meridian is a two-story building but includes varying patterns and
treatments across its façade to appropriately fit the surrounding pedestrian environment,
including intentionally sized fenestration, modeled EIFS, and welcoming awnings.
3. Building Form: Although well scaled to pedestrians, the Topgolf building is designed to be
architecturally significant and monumental in its approach. Varying rooflines and massing across
the building engage customers and guide them to its main entrance.
4. Architectural Elements: The building incorporates a welcoming overhang at the main entrance for
protection from weather, varying roof heights and shapes create a dynamic and playful
environment, and monolithic, monumental massing establish its presence in the development.
5. Materials: Topgolf utilizes a plethora of durable and contemporary yet engaging materials to
create a fun and charismatic space for entertainment. Sleek and colorful metal panels accentuate
the depth and texture of EIFS facades, while natural-toned wood panels provide warmth.
6. Lighting: The site is equipped throughout with site lighting cohesive with the Eagle View Landing
development to provide pedestrian and vehicular safety. The Topgolf building incorporates
colorful accent lighting that outlines the building masses to ensure its presence even at night.
Parking Lots
Topgolf’s parking lots are shared with the overall Eagle View Landing development and are designed to
be cohesive. The development’s lighting standards are applied throughout, and landscape is applied as
outlined by the development’s and the City of Meridian’s standards.
Pedestrian Walkways
Topgolf’s site design incorporates uninterrupted paved sidewalks providing access from all areas of its
parking lots to its main entrance. Per the City of Meridian’s standards, all pedestrian crosswalks are paved
in a material that contrasts the asphalt pavement of the parking lot for additional safety. Surrounding the
Topgolf site, the overall Eagle View Landing development provides pedestrian connections across its plan
and to its neighbors.
