Attention: Planning Staff
Regarding: Carl's Junior, Meridian Rd & Overland Rd, Meridian Idaho
To Whom it may concern,
I have visited the completed site of the new Carls Junior in Meridian and can certify that the landscape
and irrigation has been installed to my satisfaction and meeting the submitted design approved by
your department with the following changes during construction:
1. A bike rack was added at the front of the building which required us to remove (2) shrubs from
the front but the bike rack change was approved.
2. The lawn area in back was removed and in its place is additional planter bed with the addition
of (18) blue chip juniper and (3) photinia. This still meets the intent of the area while reducing
maintenance and water usage. It also meets the requirements of Idaho Power and its
transformer located near the location.
3. A substitution for the (3) of the September Golden Rain Tree (lack of availability) to (3) Red
Sunset Maple (Acer Rubrum `Franksred')0
After visiting the site for a certification of the completed landscape, I am writing to advise that I cannot
certify the landscape complete per plans and specifications at this time and following are the
deficiencies that need to be corrected before I can certify this landscape:
I am attaching an 11x17 plan for reference and a sketch of the plant material substituted for the lawn
area.
Sincerely,
Jim Mihan, LLA, ASLA
