At your request, I will reserve the name Chukar View Subdivision for your project, subject to the following restrictions:
The adjoining property has reserved the name Chukar Ridge, so the primary name "Chukar"will likely be recorded prior
to this development. The signer of the Chukar Ridge Subdivision plat will be required to record a "Permission To Use
Subdivision Name", granting the owner of the Chuker View development permission to use the Chukar View" name. The
document shall be notarized and recorded in the office of the Ada County Recorder, and upon recording the Developer
will provide the instrument number of the recorded document to the Ada County Surveyor's office. This permission
document should be recorded AFTER the plat of Chukar Ridge Subdivision has been recorded.
Two examples of recorded permissions have been attached for your information. Additional examples are available
upon request by contacting our office or the office of the Ada County Recorder.
I can honor this reservation only as long as your project is in the approval process. Final approval can only take place

How about Chukar View? Chukar Ridge is the approved name of the in-progress subdivision adjacent to the north
(approval attached) and the parties involved are the same as this sub (though the current owner's entities are
different). So, I can get an affidavit noting approval/permission letter to use Chukar from them. Do you have a
template for the affidavit?

You are correct. Since "Sky" has been used, it is not available unless it adjoined "Sky Mesa", and the signer of Sky Mesa
gave permission to use the name.
And tacking the two words together won't work, as we would not consider"SkyPilot" a "real word".

I had used the lookup tool and read the policy previously so believe I must be misunderstanding. "Sky Pilot" Drain is the
name of the gravity irrigation drain adjacent to the parcel, so was thinking our choice was acceptable under criteria
Number 2 (snapshot below).
Based on your comment, despite that- I'm thinking you're stating that the word "Sky" is used in other subs so wouldn't
be able to used?
I'll include the other info when reserving.

The following polities are adopted to clarify this Statute:
1. if a proposed subdivision is contiguous to an existing subdivision and proposes to use the same name,
the subdivider(s) must either be the same,or acquire notarized affidavit from the subdivider(s)of the
existing subdivision plat and record said affidavit with the Ada County Recorder's Office. A recorded copy
must be provided to the county surveyor prior to name approval being granted-Said proposed subdivision
names may either:
a- Use exactly the same subdivision name,and continue the phase numbering scheme and Lot f
Block numbering scheme of the existing subdivision,0R
b. Use the same arimary subdivision name but add(or change) a significantly different and
unique secondary name,a maximum of four(4)times. For example:Messina village, Messina
Hills and Messina Meadows.Onre there are five(5)subdivision plats beginning with the same
primary subdivision name, no further use of said name will be allowed (except additional phases
per 1a)_
2.Geographical Names: Names that are indicative to a specific area, such as a region or a landform(street
names and marketing a nd/or devel opment names are not considered an area), may be used a maximum
of five{5�times, however a portion of each new plat name must be significa ntly different and unique.For
example:"Warm Springs Park", "Warm Springs Terrace","Warm Springs Mesa".Once there are five(5)
subdivision plats beginning with the same geographical name,no further use of said name will be allowed
(except additional phases per 1a).

• The name of the Professional Land Surveyor that will be in responsible charge of the plat
