The signer of the Chukar Ridge Subdivision plat will be required to record a "Permission To Use Subdivision Name", granting the owner of the Chuker View development permission to use the Chukar View" name. The document shall be notarized and recorded in the office of the Ada County Recorder, and upon recording the Developer will provide the instrument number of the recorded document to the Ada County Surveyor's office. This permission document should be recorded AFTER the plat of Chukar Ridge Subdivision has been recorded. Two examples of recorded permissions have been attached for your information. Chukar Ridge is the approved name of the in-progress subdivision adjacent to the north (approval attached) and the parties involved are the same as this sub (though the current owner's entities are different). So, I can get an affidavit noting approval/permission letter to use Chukar from them. Since "Sky" has been used, it is not available unless it adjoined "Sky Mesa", and the signer of Sky Mesa gave permission to use the name. I had used the lookup tool and read the policy previously so believe I must be misunderstanding. "Sky Pilot" Drain is the name of the gravity irrigation drain adjacent to the parcel, so was thinking our choice was acceptable under criteria Number 2 (snapshot below). Based on your comment, despite that- I'm thinking you're stating that the word "Sky" is used in other subs so wouldn't be able to used? I'll include the other info when reserving. Kristen The following polities are adopted to clarify this Statute: 1. if a proposed subdivision is contiguous to an existing subdivision and proposes to use the same name, the subdivider(s) must either be the same,or acquire notarized affidavit from the subdivider(s)of the existing subdivision plat and record said affidavit with the Ada County Recorder's Office. A recorded copy must be provided to the county surveyor prior to name approval being granted-Said proposed subdivision names may either: a- Use exactly the same subdivision name,and continue the phase numbering scheme and Lot f Block numbering scheme of the existing subdivision,0R b. Use the same arimary subdivision name but add(or change) a significantly different and unique secondary name,a maximum of four(4)times.
