NarrativeZGAARCHITECT$ & PLANNERS, CHARTERED ow , July 22nd, 2021 City of Meridian Planning Division 33 E Broadway Ave Ste. 102 Meridian, ID 83642 Re: Kendall Ford Bronco Showroom —Remodel 178 East Overland Road, Meridian, Idaho Project Narrative ZGA Job No, 2067.00 To Meridian Planning Division, To provide Kendall Ford with a functional showroom space for the newly released Ford Bronco, the existing carwash on 178 East Overland Road in the City of Meridian, Idaho has been selected for occupation and thus renovation. The remodel will be a 3300 SF of interior showroom office space alongside exterior patio display areas per the Ford Motor Company's retail design requirements. The project scope will include remodel of the existing building and reuse of two walls on the northeast corner. All existing parking will remain and be completed with the addition of accessible parking, specifically designated to the newly remodeled facility. Existing landscaping and irrigation shall remain and be enhanced by further landscaped areas around the building and in coordination with exterior display areas. Exterior and architectural design is based on the Ford Motor Company's retail design requirement, crafted to beautify the area, and showcase the new design of the legendary Ford Bronco. Natural wood, black metal, extensive glazing, and concrete -look materials have been combined to express a modern, off -road aesthetic that comes to life in a linear style. This visual language wraps the corners of the building and frames the areas of clear glazing that face one of the City of Meridian's main thoroughfares, Overland Road. The Ford Bronco branding is also applied in minimalistic letters and the classic Bronco silhouette, both in white, on the south and east side of the building for immediate recognition. Building lighting will be incorporated on the underside of horizontal architectural elements as needed, and back lighting and up lighting will be engaged to highlight signage and branding.
