The proposed use for this property will be to conduct business as an auto dealership. My wife
and I are just starting out on this venture, and with that we don’t want to tie up our spending capitol on
vehicles that could sit on a lot, not knowing when a customer may stumble on it. We will not have a
display lot like typical dealerships, we are wanting to work with customers, find out the exact vehicle
they are looking for, and order it for them when a deposit is received. This way we do not have the
higher overhead costs of a normal dealership, and can offer lower prices, and a more personalized
service. The only time a vehicle will be at this location is on the day the customer will come for the test
drive, final inspection, and purchase.
Currently this is the first requirement for the requested use and there is no additional
information about prior approvals/requirements.
Referencing Chapter 4, title 11-4-3-28. Vehicle Sales or rental and service of the Unified
Development Code, we only intend to have one vehicle on the lot at a scheduled time for customer test
drive, final inspection, and purchase. There is a significant amount of landscaping on the property
allowing us to surpass the standard of having 1 square foot of landscaping for every 50 square feet of
display area. On the property there are also islands of trees, curbing, and grass already in place to define
main driving aisles, and our vehicle will not inhibit those aisles in any way.
