Re: Design Review Narrative – Advanced Heating and Cooling Building
Dear Planning Staff:
Thank you for the opportunity to submit our proposal for Advanced Heating and Cooling. The proposed
building will be located on E. Lanark Street blending with the surrounding commercial uses.
The building is a two story approximately 20,300 sf building that contains warehouse space for
distribution of products and office, conference rooms to support the business.
The building is articulated with different colors of metal panels that reflect the massing of the building.
The southern and east elevations predominantly visible from the street have two different colors of
metal panels that breaks up the elevation and provides an accent for the 2-story office building that has
storefront windows to provide good wayfinding for guests. The norther and west elevations are for the
warehouse area of the building and doors and warehouse roll-up doors for ease of access for
distribution of products. Mechanical systems will be internal to the building and not be visible on the
exterior. The roof will be a slopped metal that will blend with the metal wall panels.
The trash enclosure is a concrete masonry unit structure, and the enclosure is on the southwest side of
the building outside of the secure gate.
