Re: The Landing Subdivision No. 13 - 600 S. Linder Road, Meridian, ID
Statement of Centerline Groundwater Elevations
To whom it may concern:
On December 22, 2020,the City Council for the City of Meridian approved the Findings of
Fact, Conclusions of Law and Decision &Order (FOFCLs) for The Landing South Subdivision
(CKA The Landing Subdivision No. 13), Case No. H-2020-0005. This letter serves as a
statement regarding seasonal groundwater elevations relative to design street centerline
(CL) finish elevations for The Landing Subdivision No. 13.
In 2017, Site Consulting LLC conducted a geotechnical investigation on The Landing
Subdivision No. 12 (TLS12) formerly known as Nursery Subdivision. Long term
groundwater monitoring was conducted as part of that geotechnical investigation and
summarized in Site Consulting LLC's Groundwater Research report for the Nursery
Subdivision (File#17122-C). Based on the results for groundwater monitoring Well #1,
which was located closest to TLS13, seasonal high groundwater is estimated to remain
greater than 7.5-feet below ground surface throughout the year. This corresponds to a
shallow groundwater elevation below 2588.15.
The design street CL elevations on this project are set at an approximate elevation of
2596.0.This corresponds to a separation of greater than 7.5-feet between the CL of the
roadways and the established peak groundwater elevation. Therefore, in the opinion of this
engineer, the street centerline (CL) elevations are set at a minimum of three (3) feet above
the highest seasonal groundwater elevation.
