Re: ACHD Ustick Road Maintenance Facility—H-2021-0029
Dear Mayor Simison and City Council:
We have reviewed staff comments for the Meridian City Council meeting of July 17, 2021, and
have the following responses:
CITY/AGENCY COMMENTS
A. Planning Division
l. The applicant will enter into a development agreement. However,we request
that the $303.00 application fee be waived per the Interagency
Governmental Agreement for Waiver of Costs and Fees.
a. Understood.
b. The applicant will comply.
C. The applicant is in agreement that the principal buildings associated
with the site, which include the administrative and fleet maintenance
buildings, shall incorporate Commercial design standards along Ustick
Road. However, the applicant is concerned that application of
Commercial design standards on the portion of the covered storage
building adjacent to Ustick Road would be cost-prohibitive given the
function of the building.
d. The required multi-use pathway segment, detached sidewalks along
Ustick and Naomi, five-foot-wide micro-path and landscape buffers
shall be constructed with the fir-A second phase of development (2022).
e. The applicant will comply.
f. The Applicant is currently working with the Public Works Department
on sewer options, as the North Black Cat Trunk Sewer is not available
to the site at this time. The option being explored is temporarily
utilizing the sewer in Ustick Road which is within the Ten Mile Trunk
Service Area.
