External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments. The RV Parking poll needs to be duplicated on Facebook or the city's web site. It appears to be essentially a public meeting. Not everybody is allowed on Nextdoor nor want to put up with the draconian rules of Nextdoor just to participate. Nextdoor does not allow alias screen names or anything except a full legal name. This household votes NO. RVs, boats, trailers, ATVs, in front yards will start neighborhood fights. Many will end up too long for the front yard and encroach on the sidewalk as is already happening. They block the view down the street when attempting to back out of a driveway. Parking on gravel leads to weeds and a trashy look. Give HOAs an option to create their own standards for parking in front of the house within limits set by the city that become code recognized by the city with primary enforcement by the HOA and further enforcement by the city code enforcement. The City of Meridian and all Treasure Valley cities need rules for parking commercial vehicles in the street during construction and remodeling at home. Contractors often create dangerous pinch points by parking commercial vehicles on both sides of the street, sometimes partially obstructing sidewalks so walking in the street becomes the only option. 1
