Greetings, My name is Hal DeGrange, I have lived in Idaho since 1969, Nampa, Boise and now Meridian since 1993. I’ve seen a lot of changes within Ada county. I’m hopeful that the communities and their elected city council members within the county has some sort of a game plan. I swear the lot of you are trying to turn our city into a slum. Tell me otherwise in 10 to 15 years with all the apartments being built and promotion on growth with no consideration on how the masses are to move around on vintage roadways and now allowing RV’s to parked out front, creating a safety hazard. The proposed code changes really doesn’t stipulate, out front or in the streets, which I’m sure is next if not already talked about. Kids out of school, darting in and out between parked vehicles in the streets, heavier traffic, what a tremendous recipe for accidents. Who will be liable? My wife and I have already avoided 6 incidents where a home owner ( Vineyards) who has th ample parking on his newly poured RV pad, decided to leave his 5 wheel in the street. To lazy or unable to back it up, best guess. We barely missed school buses and impatient motorists cutting the corner traffic lights at Linder and Cherry Lane, and what will become of Linder Rd. when the overpass is built and money spent for that could build a new elementary school on the south side of the freeway?. Just so parents don’t have to drive a few miles further? Come on! I love this town, please don’t’ turn into a slum, Please don’t waste our tax dollars, Please keep those of us in mind that voted you people into office and now have to pay the increased taxes, How about grandfathering us home owners in at a current tax rate and make the new comers pick up the load due the expansion, they want to move here, pay for it, by the way my dad was from Emmett and when he retired from the Airforce. He settled in Boise, my mother was from Swan Valley, and while my dad was in Vietnam, we lived in Nampa with our grandmother. Keep our City “Idaho” thank you for your time.
