Hello,
I'd like to make known my opposition to the proposed change to Meridian City Code regarding RV/Boat parking for
Meridian Homes. This is a bad idea and will result in a drastic reduction in curb appeal for homes/neighborhoods in the
area. There are already a significant number of people that park their RV vehicles in their driveway, despite the currently
in place restriction on that. If it is formally allowed, many more will do it, and we'll have all kinds of oversize vehicles
sitting in front of houses.
Not only do many park their RVs in their driveway, there are a significant number of others who park them on the street
for longer than the 72 hours allowed. For that matter, way too many people park their personal vehicles on the street or
driveway, despite HOA restrictions. I know that this is not part of the City Code purview, but it's an example of the
mindset that will drive towards a more cluttered street appearance. Please do not pass this parking modification.
