Subject:Proposed change to City Code on RV/Boat Parking
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
I am writing to voice my opposition to the proposed changes regarding RV/Boat/Recreational parking on residential
property.
I purchased in a subdivision with an HOA for a reason. HOAs help maintain a neighborhood's appearance and protect
home values. Allowing campers, motorhomes, boats to be permanently parked in front of one's home may
seem like a good idea, but will most surely be abused. Since they no longer have to move, what prevents
someone from permanently living in one. Given the increase in the cost of homes and rent in this area, I
guarantee this will occur. What happens when broken down campers or boats are parked "permanently" for
repairs. What about larger motorhomes that extend onto the sidewalk and cause safety issues to children
riding bikes or individuals out for a walk or needing the sidewalk for wheelchairs, etc.
Please do not make changes to the existing code to satisfy a small percentage of people. Protect the beauty
and ambiance of our City!
