Subject:Recreational Vehicles Amendment Input

Hello:
I have been made aware of a consideration to change the existing city code for parking standards of RV's and
other recreational vehicles. I would like to submit my vote/input as a no for these reasons:
1) It affects the surrounding properties as they will all have to view the recreational vehicle, and it may not be
an attractive item.
2) It may have a negative impact on the value and salability of surrounding properties.
3) It may be too long/not fit the area it is kept, for example on their driveway so that it blocks a sidewalk. This
now becomes an issue with the ADA and that will have to be monitored.
4) How would the council ensure that people aren't living in an RV, for example, if it's on a driveway, side
yard, or back yard? We don't want to encourage tent city type living in our neighborhoods.
5) Recreational vehicles on private property could cause less space for the existing vehicles, which would then
be moved to the streets. This has the possibility of causing more congestion in neighborhoods, aside from the
cluttered appearance.
Thank you,
