Hello, I wanted to let the city council of Meridian know that I am against changing the city code to allow RV parking at the front of a home, as long as it is on gravel or cement. This makes neighborhoods look older and unkempt. It also makes it much more likely that people will use this "extra space" to house visiting family and friends, which will most likely lead to increased street noise and increased parking on public roads. I do think the 72 hr RV parking allowance on public roads should be amended. I have multiple neighbors that park their huge RVs on public roads and then "move" them 2 feet every 72 hours. It creates huge blind spots on neighborhood roads. People are "following the letter of the law" but not the spirit when they play these games. I drive 10 mph in our neighborhood and I have have STILL come alarming close to hitting children who dash out from behind parked RVs. When I have discussed this with neighbors, I have been told to mind my own business and take other roads through the neighborhood if I'm so concerned. Thanks for reading. - Jessica Lords 1
