Hello,
I am a Meridian city resident (3028 N Marburg Ave) and wanted to provide feedback on the proposed changes
to RV storage. My understanding is that this will be discussed at the council meeting on July 6.
I am opposed to any changes to the current rules for RV storage. RVs should continue to be stored off-street
and screened from view.
Allowing people to park their RV on the street will cause traffic congestion in the neighborhood and also be a
visibility danger. People in my neighborhood park their RVs on the street for several days at a time. It’s often
difficult to see around them and cars often have to stop to yield to someone coming the other way. It’s also
unsightly and makes the neighborhood look unkempt. Owning an RV is a luxury and a choice. Those that
choose to own one should consider the storage before purchasing one. Their neighbors should not be
inconvenienced as a result of poor planning. I suggest keeping the rule as is.
Thanks,
Tara Britson
