Hello there my friends. Thank you for all you do for us to keep Meridian vibrant. I have lived in Meridian since 1976, and owned a business here, too, before retiring. I am usually for relaxing laws and freedom for citizens, but I think relaxing these recreational vehicle laws to allow parking out front of a residence is not a good move. We live in Lochsa Falls subdivision, and the streets here are relatively narrow. A neighbor had their travel trailer parked in front of their home recently for two weeks while they cleaned and cleared it to ready it for sale. Because they couldn’t use their garage while the trailer was parked there, they had to park their vehicles on the street, too, so they could access them. Their home is located on a curve, and with the vehicles, trailer, and the neighbor on the other side of the street needing to park a vehicle out front, too, it made for a dangerous situation for traffic in the remainder of the neighborhood as traffic needed to be in a one-way situation. I cannot imagine that being the situation all the time, and not just a trailer but also boats, ATV’s, etc. Thanks for listening. E. Faye Gabriel 1976 W. Eagle Mtn.
