Subject: Question: Proposed Changes to RV Parking

I have two questions regarding the proposal posted on the website:
1
Q1: We have a 3 car garage with a concrete driveway. Does the proposed ordinance mean that I can park my small
travel trailer on our driveway? It is licensed, registered, and would not encroach upon the sidewalk. Yes – If the City
Council passes the proposed code change, you will be allowed to park a licensed trailer in your driveway as long as you
don’t overhang into the sidewalk.
Q2: If the city parking code changes, do the CCRs for the various developments (ie, Sportsman Pointe … established in
the early 1990s) need to change to reflect the new city code? If the CCR’s for a subdivision are more restrictive than City
code, they can be amended if the HOA desires to do so. The City is not a party to CCRs so we won’t get involved with
these types of disputes.
Thanks in advance,
….Bruce
