PZ - Narrative Updated Project: WRRF Map Amendment Project Narrative: The City of Meridian is requesting a comprehensive map adjustment for land directly to the north and northwest of the WRRF at 3401 N Ten Mile Road. Based on the results of the most recent Odor Study, the City is requesting that the future land use designation for the north 16.5 acres of its property located at N Ten Mile Rd (parcel S0434131201) be changed to medium density residential. Additionally, the City is requesting that the future land use designation for the remaining southern 23.7 acres of the same parcel, directly adjacent to the WRRF, be changed to industrial to match the WRRF’s current land use designation. The City is requesting that the future land use designation for the 4 acres of the northern corner of the Brighton property (parcel S0434244225) as well as the 20.4 acres (parcel S0434244223 and S0434244215) of mixed use non-residential designated area on the west side of the collector street that is part of the future Quartet Subdivision be changed to medium density residential. The City is requesting that the future land use designation for the lower 16.1 acres of the Brighton property (parcel S0434244225) adjacent to the northwest corner of the WRRF be changed to industrial. These adjustments are favorable to the City and surrounding areas as it creates a band of contiguous future industrial land use around the WRRF while releasing land to potential future residential development where appropriate as identified in the recent Odor Study.
