Hello,
I would like to add my support for updating the city code, to allow residents the option to use their property, within
reasonable guidelines, for parking RVs in front of their gate. I also hope that this code will provide a loophole to allow
residents to use their properties in this manner without harassment from overbearing HOA rules.
Most people I know are sick to death of being told everything they’re not allowed to do with and on their property.
We are in favor of increased use of our private property. Obviously, we would hope people don’t abuse this and park a
dilapidated piece of junk out front for months on end, but those details can possibly be hammered out further.

May I add one more thought to this? I live in a sub that says we can’t park a trailer behind our 6 foot privacy fence as
well. I would also be in a favor of the city making it prohibited by HOAs to not allow this. Our private, fenced backyards
should be ours, and to prohibit an RV behind the fence is ludicrous. Most people can’t afford an RV garage, and the RV
storage rentals are really just a huge cost and there’s not enough of them available, especially with the ridiculous growth
in our area, which is in part, due to the city wooing people and not managing growth very well. It’s pretty frustrating.
