PZ - Ride Share Encouragement Plan 5-6 The Oasis Ride Share Encouragement Plan
We will use our first four predicted maximum capacity events as real world analytical models
and adjust operating conditions accordingly. In the event that these initial four venue uses
demonstrates an issue with parking availability, ingress/egress, or issues with parking as a
whole, we will initiate the following practices to encourage an increase of ride share usage.
Current study data indicates that on average, 40% of attendees for a maximum capacity event
will utilize ride sharing, so we do not anticipate there to be an issue with underparking.
- Upon reaching 80% capacity according to our ticket scan numbers or the Tokenworks
authenticating system, security staff will be deployed to the outside of the facility on a
permanent (for the remainder of the night or ingress/egress portions). The role of the
security staff will be to monitor the parking spaces for available spaces remaining and
direct overflow traffic to pre-determined and negotiated cross-parking spaces.
- On nights where we anticipate the facility to reach maximum capacity based on the type
of performance booked or the booked capacity for a private event, we will provide a
discount on food, drinks, and/or the total ticket (up to a predetermined maximum) for
any patron that shows using their mobile device or otherwise that they arrived to our
facility using some method of ride sharing service.
- Security staff in the parking lots will also check incoming vehicles for their intended
destination. The typical door time for weekend maximum capacity events is expected to
be close to or after the closing times for all other businesses in the same development.
Because of this, we do not anticipate an issue with an influx of uses for the other
businesses in the same development area.
Vehicles determined to be of a ride share use, or flagged in their front windshield with
the corporate logo (Lyft, Uber, etc), will be directed to turn right and south into a series
of designated slots for ride sharing pickup and drop off. This will be conducted during
the heaviest ingress and egress times as groups of patrons are expected to arrive and
depart at similar times.
- Because of the multiple use nature of the venue, we expect ingress to be significantly
heavier than egress due to the fact that many patrons may wish to remain in the facility
after musical or other performances.
