March 24, 2021 City of Meridian Planning Division 33 E. Broadway Avenue, Ste. 102 Meridian, ID 83642 Attention: To Whom it May Concern Re: Walmart Remodel – 5001 N. Ten Mile Rd. LK Project No.: 20387 To whom it may concern, On behalf of our client, Walmart Stores, Inc., we are submitting documents for proposed changes to an existing Walmart Supercenter. We are proposing a color update per the Walmart’s latest branded color as part of the upcoming interior remodel project of the facility mentioned above. The new neutral (gray) tones are anticipated to blend with the community development which also consists of surrounding buildings painted in the same color scheme. The current building materials, such as stone and brick, will remain intact, and our construction documents will only reflect new paint on EIFS, CMU walls and adjacent elements such as jib crane, gutters, and downspouts. The signage will also be updated to comply with Walmart’s latest guidelines. The total square footage will be decreased with the proposed new and replaced signage. Painting the Walmart Supercenter to a neutral gray color scheme; accent color will be blue. As shown on sheet A2, Wal-Mart would like to re-paint the exterior of the building to a neutral gray color scheme. Except for the new build-out behind the proposed WM ID signs, there are no changes to the building materials. Replacing existing building signage with new, excluding the Pickup sign. Due to damage and age, we are proposing to replace the existing exterior building signage with new. The only exception will be the existing Pickup sign w/ Spark, which will not be replaced. Items to note include the following: • Re-branding Online Grocery Pickup elements from orange to blue. Wal-Mart would like to re-brand the OGP parking stall signage from orange to blue. • Adding additional Online Grocery Pickup parking stalls. Walmart would like to add additional Online Grocery Pickup parking stalls. Note that there is no reduction in the overall parking stall count.
