Public CommentDear Mayor and Council, My Name is Brad Beckley, I reside at 3655 S. Merrivale Way Meridian, ID. I'm located in the Kingsbridge Subdivision. I'm writing you in regards to the project at Falcon Drive for the mulit-family project being proposed by Mr. Hill. My concern is the building height and density for the area. The subdivision directly to the South is 1 acre single family homes. Kingsbridge is R2 zoning and the property immediately to the East of this is also R2. When Kingsbridge was developed the developer was required to have minimum 18,000 sq ft homesites with height restrictions of no more than 30' and absolutely no two stories or bonus rooms allowed for the entire development surrounding the 1 acre Dartmoor subdivision. This was very good planning by the City and makes for a nice transition. The proposed development you have in front of you does not conform with the surrounding property. I hope you take this into consideration when approving this, I think Mr. Hill should held to the same standards. The exterior lots on the East and South of project should not be 2 story 4-plexes. Single level patio homes with a transition to a couple four plexes along Eagle road would be more appropriate. (I would also like to note that the most current approved sub within 500 ft of this was R2 Zoning also. That subdivision is Carmel, developed by the Evans family) they also use Falcon Dr as an access. This property should really be reverted back to its original zoning and de -annexed, per the DA agreement that was put in place. I think if it's not it could open the city up for legal ramifications. Thank you for taking the time to read this. The city of Meridian has made this community top notch. Thank you for all you've done thus far with planning this great area. We want to make sure that there is adequate time to give both parties an opportunity to discuss these issues and hopefully come to an agreement that is advantageous to both parties. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
