To City of Meridian Staff Member,
It is the intent of the applicant to construct a roughly 23,000 sf building consisting of office and
warehouse components. Included in this submission package you will find a Civil Site Plan,
Landscape Plan and, Architectural Elevations. The applicant meets and exceeds the necessary
checklist items outlined in the Certificate of Zoning Compliance and Design Review application
checklists.
The elevations illustrate the cohesive design and architectural elements, while the Key Notes
section outlines the building materials intended for construction. The landscape plan and the site
rendering outline the scale and percentages of Building Coverage, Landscape Coverage and
Parking Coverage.
Parking lots and lighting are addressed not only in the Civil Site Plan but also the Photometric
Plan as well, pedestrian access is addressed in the Site Plan, Landscape Plan, and Site Rederin.
All documents are attached to this application for the review by City of Meridian Staff.

My name is Lee Dougal and I oversee new enclosure / new construction approvals for Republic Services.
First of all, thank you for sending the plans for your new enclosure. I see a few issues that will need clarified for approval.
I am enclosing our Commercial Enclosure Requirements for your consideration.
I will draw your attention to identifying proper approach and exiting spaces (is there an exit or will the truck be backing
into a parking area and maneuvering out the way they came in?), internal enclosure dimensions (12’x12’ minimum), door
opening angles (120-degrees or greater) and cane bolt identification.
Please let me know when these are addressed and I will be happy to consider the site for approval.

Please see the updated plan showing a minimum of 12'x12' enclosure. The engineer did not show where the crane bolt
would be but I assure you on the enclosures we have built and intend to build here we will have a crane bolt, do we need
to notate the plans showing the door swinging 120 degrees? Finally, the engineer indicated that the truck would need to
back out into existing parking based on the plan shown. Please advise if there are any other requirements so we can get
this completed, thank you.

It’s just their min. sizes. We will need to pull our trash enclosure 8” to the north because we are only 11’-4” but that is easy
to do. I can draw up the trash enclosure details if that helps, let me know.

Thank you for the updated information. If it is possible, I would need to see the identification of the 120-degree opening,
as well as a notation that the cane bolts will be installed (It can even be a simple comment on the plans).
My only concern is the drivers maneuvering to exit the property. There will be quite a bit of either blind-backing or
multiple-point turn arounds, and in the vicinity of parked cars this could be hazardous. Is this the only site the enclosure
can be placed?

Ok lets see if this will work. I labeled the doors with a 120 degree swing and added a note that crane bolts needed to be
installed for the swing door open and closed position.
